How to Embed your Finished UAT2 Product Comparison Tables.

We’re adding this information first for quick access if you have finished tables you want to embed. In a future update we will be adding a “Embed Table” button above everywhere you can add them.

For now, here is how to manually embed them.

In your WordPress dashboard, click on “Tables” in the left admin column. You will see a shortcode in the righthand column of each table you have created.

It will look similar to this:  [uat2_table id=”248″ / ]

Copy and paste this shortcode into any page or post and your table will be displayed there.

How to Create New UAT2 Product Comparison Tables.

This section outlines how to set up the UAT2 built in custom product tables.

Click “Tables -> Add New”

Add Your Custom Table Title

Table Single Post Intro

When you are editing a Table post, and you click “view table” or “preview table”, you will be taken to a webpage that displays your table. This content is displayed above your Table on the page the visitor sees.

* We recommend using the Yoast SEO plugin, and setting the “Table” post type to “noindex”, or these posts previewing your tables will be indexed in Google.

Type of Table

There are two types of tables you can build.

  • Custom Table
  • Product Review Pro Default Table

First we are going to go through setting up the “Product Review Pro Default Table”.

Choose Product Specification Group

You will see a new select box appear. Here you can choose to either use the Reviews you have set up pulling everything from Amazon by choosing “Pull All Data from Amazon”.

You will also see your Custom Product Specifications Groups listed here as well.

* A Table can only display a single specification group.

For the example, we are going to choose “Pull All Data from Amazon”.

IMPORTANT:

You must “Update”, “Publish”, or “Save as Draft” for your table column options to become available.

First you will see this before you update your post.

After you update your post you will see a blue button appear that says “Add Column”.

Click “Add Column” and you will see the column settings.

Let’s go over the different Column settings. These are he settings for a single column specification in your product comparison table.

  • Columns – Choose which Amazon specification you want to display in the column you are creating.Options are:
    • WordPress Review Title – The title you gave the review post.
    • Amazon Title – The Amazon title for the product.
    • Editor Rating – This is NOT the Amazon star rating. It is your own manual star rating you assigned on the review post. It is not automatically updated data from Amazon
    • ASIN – The ASIN of the product. This is the product’s Amazon ID#.
    • Brand – The product’s brand.
    • Model – The manufacturer’s model.
    • UPC – The manufacturer’s UPC code.
    • Features – The listed product features on Amazon. Sometimes these are very long.
    • Warranty – The manufacturer’s warranty.
    • Price – The list price, sale price if applicable, and discount amount / percentage.
    • Lowest New Price – The lowest listed price on Amazon.
    • Lowest Used Price – The lowed used price on Amazon.
    • Small Image – The Amazon image thumbnail.
    • Medium Image – The Amazon medium product image. We recommend this option for your tables.
    • Large Image – The Amazon large product image.
  • Responsive Settings – Check the box for each screen size you want to hide this column on. This will make it available to your site visitor by letting them toggle the rows open and closed, revealing and hiding the extra hidden product information.
  • Column Sorting – Check this box to disable sorting on this column.
  • Column Width – Combined with the option below, choose a column width for this column.
  • Column Width Type – You can use fluid percentages or fixed pixel widths.
  • Link – Choose whether to link this data cell to the main review, your Amazon Affiliate link, or nothing.
  • Column Horizontal Alignment – The left horizontal alignment of your table cell data. You can choose left, center, or right.
  • Column Vertical Alignment -The left vertical alignment of your table cell data. You can choose top, middle, or bottom.

After adding all of the columns you want, update your post again.

Add Products

Now you can add as many products as you want. Click “Add Row” to add a new product. In our example, we are choosing from our reviews that pull all of their data from Amazon.

If you chose to use one of your own product specification groups, you can choose from those reviews.

* Troubleshooting Tip – if you don’t see any product to add in the “product” dropdown, you most likely do not have any product reviews published using this specification group, or set t pull all of it’s data form Amazon.

First set this to “Custom Table” and update your post.
